I used to create electronic music in my teens, then life happened. Recently started to play around again in Koala Sampler and BandLab. I love to find world/folk music and then trying to add a house or breakbeat groove underneath.
I love how the original track Tears by Giorgio Moroder starts out with the famous organ sound and then keeps adding vocals, bass, drums, strings until it all ends in a big bang. So I tried to keep that part, but instead of keep looping the original melody, each section starts to diverge in more chaos before getting pulled back on the right path.
My first Hip Hop track. Found like 5 melodies/beats that I liked and couldn't decide what to throw away, so I kept them ALL, mixed together over time. Also found some "game soundtrack" vocals that fit the theme.
This tune sounds somewhat happy, but I only could find a few sad vocals to go along with it. Happy X-mas!
Somehow this reminded me of a "camel trotting through a dessert." It's a bit more experimental.
Found this piano sample in a BandLab pack and really liked it. So I tried to make it appear as if someone is discovering the hook by jamming on a piano, then slowly add more instruments over time.
Name? Well, I wanted to add some vocals too, but couldn't really find anything fitting. Vocals would need to have a happy vibe. So eventually ended up just adding some chicken sounding vocals and a girl talking about Tequila. Hence Chicken Tequila! Haha..
Ok, this turned out unexpected. I started out with some Cumbia beats, but then it kinda turned more into Tribal + Trance vibes with sad melodies.
A continuation from "Knock Knock". Now with different "I wanna dance" vocals and the middle part uses an organ sound.
While browsing through the sample packs on BandLab I ended up finding the "knock knock" vocal and then built a little story around it.
A short edit of the original track by Blue Jazz Cat Jams with some additional drums, piano and trumpet samples. I'm always worried of adding "too much", hope I didn't sin this time again. 😅 First time trying out BandLab.
A rework of the Turkish disco/funk song "Binboganin Kizi" by Baris Manco & Mogollar.
Love the vibe I got when hearing this song. Here the origial version. So I tried to speed up the original to 108 bpm, re-arrange into loops (probably butchered the vocals) and add a bit of a house groove. It's entirely made with Koala Sampler.
